General Questions
Q: Are you closed on holidays?
A: We believe that holidays are meant to be spent with family. Chores & More is closed on the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas day and New Year's Day. We are open for half-days (until 2 p.m.) on New Year's Eve, but reserve the right to close on that day or any other holiday.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Our field hours vary from Monday through Friday, depending on our workload. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. If you reach out to us outside of our office hours, we will contact you on the following business day.
Q: What if I have to cancel a service?
A: We totally understand that life happens! If you need to postpone or cancel a service, simply try to let us know at least 48 hours in advance. All late cancellations are subject to our cancellation fee, as explained in our terms of service packet.
Q: Are you okay with pets?
A: Psh, do you even know us? We're the pet people. We love dogs and cats and even reptiles. We do not require that you put your pet away during your service, but all clients with pets are subject to our pet policy, as detailed in our terms of service packet.
Q: How many cleaners will service my home?
A: It depends! We strongly believe that solo cleaners are more efficient and overall better at getting to know you and your home. In order to maintain consistency, you will probably be paired up with a soloist, but sometimes teams will be scheduled for larger-scale jobs and initial cleans.
Q: What towns do you service?
A: We are located on the south shore border of Nassau and Suffolk counties. We primarily service Copiague, Lindenhurst, Amityville, West Babylon, Babylon, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, Seaford, Wantagh, Bellmore, West Islip, Bay Shore, East Islip, Deer Park, Farmingdale, Melville, Levittown and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: In order to make things easy for everyone, we only accept credit cards. We require credit cards on file in order to book with us. However, we also do make exceptions for checks.

Cleaning Questions
Q: Do you supply your own products for the cleanings?
A: Yes, we do! We only ask that you supply a kitchen sponge, a garbage bag, a toilet brush and paper towels. But don't worry, if you forget to leave those things out for us, then we'll use our emergency supply. ;)
Q: What products do you use?
A: We believe in using the best and safest products that suit your needs. For our standard cleanings, we use a combination of Dawn, Unger, Pledge and Scott's products, as well as a few others. For our chemical-free cleanings, we strictly use Young Living's Thieves. We will also use bleach if needed and only with your consent. For a full list of the products we use, contact us for a copy of our policy packet.
Q: Will you use my products if I request it?
A: Of course! Some of our clients prefer that we use their supplies, and that's totally fine! Just make sure you leave them out for us and explain what to use where.
Q: Do I have to be present while the cleaning is happening?
A: You do not! It's entirely up to you. Some clients will give us an entry code or give us a key. All clients' keys are safely stored and locked away in our office.
